Ozzy

$200.00

In this portrayal of Ozzy Osborn, my intention is to transcend the bounds of traditional representation, allowing my innermost feelings to surface through the bold and unfiltered application of color. The fragmented, geometric shapes and the vivid palette reflect the complexity and brilliance of Einstein's mind, an homage to the unique and colorful nature of his personality. Each segment of color is layered with emotion, a symbolic gesture of the deep-seated passions and intellectual fervor that I imagine fueled Einstein's theories. This piece, like all my work, is an intimate page from my life’s narrative, a vibrant reflection of my journey where emotions are rendered visible, and the chaos of color mirrors the intricate paths we all navigate in life.

Dimensions: 23” x 35”

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Amber Mcneel

"If I could say in words what my paintings reveal about my inner feelings, my sequestered emotions finding escape in the dawn of description, I would have no need to paint. What is my nude silhouette art about? All I can say is that every painting starts with a compulsion to exhale emotions that are foreign, frightening, or frustrating. From there pure unadulterated emotion takes over and fingers and hands spread acrylic across a canvas leaving behind blaring echoes of my desires, my pains, my passions, and my very soul.

The bright colors attempt to hide the sorrow and heartaches just as I try to hide behind a smile in real life. Each painting is a page directly out of my personal diary, another tale of lovers lost, anger amplified, or damages long disguised. The celebrity abstract portrait series is how I see the world around me. The colors are meant to reflect how colorful and unique our personalities are and to show the beauty that resides within that color. The abstract mixed media series is done with acrylics, inks, and multiple mediums. The paint colors are stacked in one container then poured onto the surface of a board or canvas. Manual manipulation spreads the paint and a blow torch makes colors rise through each other to the top. The end result is a chaos of color that has made it's own course much like we each must do in life."

Amber is happily married to my soulmate Cody and live in the Garland suburb of Dallas. She began painting as a way to release pent up emotions and stress in 2009 after realizing how much emotion painting allowed me to release. She used art as a creative outlet ever since, painting mostly emotional silhouettes using acrylics, texture mediums, and just her hands and an occasional brush here and there. Amber prefers to feel the paint and let the emotion pour out of me onto the canvas. Her paintings are bright in color but full of raw emotion.
